How to deal with doubt

How do I deal with Doubt in my life?

Am I still a Christian if I doubt “truths?”

This is tough because no one wants to appear like we don’t know it all.

I’m sure you’ve been in a math class where the teacher threw out a ridiculous problem statement like:

“The argument of a complex number is the arcos when multiplied with the congruence of 72 degrees.”

At that point you could’ve accepted it and never understood, OR doubt it, and began to ask questions to better understand.

With God it’s no different.

There’s nothing wrong with doubt because we acknowledge we don’t know it all, but it leads us in the pursuit of the truth. How else could we know God unless we begin to ask the questions?

Doubt provides an avenue to discover truth.

It’s ok to have doubt.

Mark 9:24 gives us an awesome prayer. “Lord I believe, but help me with my unbelief.” In the rest of the story, Jesus had immense compassion on the man who cried this out.

I am so glad I serve a God who welcomes skeptics and doubters and shows us the magnitude of his love.

When you doubt, ASK.

You might be surprised with what you find.
